Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts is proud to present, Alleged, a group show put on by the Chimera Collective. Chimera Collective ALLEGED March 20-31, 2013 Opening Reception: Thursday March 21, 7-10pm -AN ALMOST BANKRUPT ART SHOW LIVES ON AT THE PROPELLER CENTRE- This eclectic group of eight artists was drawn together by their shared vision and their desire to exhibit. And nothing, not even losing funds with Toronto School of Art (TSA), who went bankrupt in December 2012, would stop them from putting on an exhibit. Diversity is the power of the Chimera Collective. This group employs a range of techniques and media to express emotional connections to themes of power and abandonment, relationships and environments. This Chimera is full of strong voices, and powerful ideas that break down barriers through the use of multidisciplinary art. They state, We take all of our lifes experiences and learning, intending to create visual interpretations of our unique perception and response to life in the world in which we live. Participating Artists: Ozge Aytekin, Anastessia Bettas, Heloise Chong, Signy Eaton, Phillip Magno, Diane Mohan, Marjut Nousiainen and Francis Pratt.
