We are back with another edition of Comedy Poetry. This lineup is absolutely incredible so don’t miss it! A little hilarity with thought-provoking material. Come enjoy the deepest laughter you will ever experience as the Pros of Prose hit the stage ! Hosted by Anto Chan The stacked lineup includes: Zabrina Chevannes – “Her set is full of colourful references, and a few off-colour ones, to parenting and her day-to-day. She’s one of the most exuberant and cheerful stand-ups working in the city. She can turn a whole show around by kicking up the energy in the room.” -STEVE FISHER of Torontoist.com David Delisca – Born in Haiti and raised in West Palm Beach, FL, David has been sharing his words on stages in all parts of Canada. A three-time member of the Toronto Poetry Slam nationals team, his first chapbook “I Grew Up Right Beside You” is now available. Lishai – She believes in art as a tool for community development and uses her words to create dialogue and uplift. Since 2010, she has made a name for herself as an award winning poet and powerful performer. She has competed in poetry slams at a national and international level, including representing Toronto at the Women of the World Poetry Slam, The Vancouver International Poetry Festival and the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. www.lishai.ca Alex Pavone – “Alex Pavone is a young, cocky stand-up in his mid-20s whos been doing comedy for about five years. Last year, I saw him perform several times in short sets where his impressive, manic delivery burned up the Yuk Yuks stage. Often he was so high-strung, he walked out into the crowd on peoples tables, no less and continued his act. Guys got balls. Pavones the real thing: one of the most exciting voices on the scene. – Glenn Sumi, Now Magazine – NNNNN
