Two Way Monologues and GreenShades team up to bring 6 showcases at Rancho Relaxo for Canadian Music Fest. This is night 3 with 8 bands and a 4 am last call. Expand for full info including set times and links to hear these great bands for yourself! Turtle Giant: http://www.facebook.com/turtlegiant?sid=0.6548575349152088 at 8 PM: Turtle Giant are originally from Brazil and now residing in China so we are pretty stoked to have such a worldly band open up our show! Turtle Giant have a super slick indie-rock slash Brit rock sound to them. Unbelievably catchy. No slow start to your Thursday night! Future History: http://www.facebook.com/FutureHistory?sid=0.8402423493098468 @ 9 PM: Here’s a quote from a guy who knows his music on what to expect from them. “FUTURE HISTORY is an original and innovative band. Their music is an amalgamation of many styles and influences which creates a sound like no other. Not an easy task to accomplish these days.” -Laurence Currie (Gold Record/Juno Award winning Producer) Royal Creatures: http://www.facebook.com/RoyalCreatures?sid=0.35642358334735036 @ 10 PM: TWM/GreenShades begun their relationship with Royal Creatures due to an connection to Scott and Maurice’s old band the Craft Economy and since then we’ve done a bunch of great shows together. Royal Creatures are a heavy rockin’ outfit always searching for perfect guitars and cool ways to make more noise. The Ranch is where it all began for them, so naturally it is where they play their first festival slot. The Blue Stones: http://www.facebook.com/thebluestonesmusic?sid=0.004158496856689453 @ 11 PM: Sometimes a band writes such a killer bio you just gotta run with it. We are The Blue Stones; a blues/rock/alternative duo from Windsor, Ontario. The duo consists of Tarek Jafar (guitar/vocals) and Justin Tessier (drums). Born and raised in a border city, we draw influence from an array of Canadian rock bands as well as Detroit soul and blues bands. Check out our two music videos on YouTube, “I’m A Stereo” and “Vain Vixens”, as well as some live videos on the channel. Honheehonhee: http://www.facebook.com/honheehonhee?sid=0.6810855688527226 @ 12 am: It just doesn’t get much better than Honheehonhee. My favourite band going in Montreal right now. Look for a new video from these addictive indie-pop/rockers in mid March in advance of this very show. This is a set not to be missed! The Green Reflectors: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Green-Reflectors/51648788591?sid=0.20096416445448995 @ 1 am: I found these guys when scouring the list of bands playing Halifax Pop Explosion and instantly fell in love with their surf rock sound! If these guys lived in Toronto they’d be playing GreenShades shows all the time so they are the perfect match for this bill! The 1992 Toronto Blue Jays: at 2 am: A band wrapped in mystery with perhaps the best name in the festival period. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yYpGT5k6no Dildoniks: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dildoniks/196745723702037?sid=0.868874836480245 @ 3 am: Last year, Dildoniks set at 3 am during the fest was one of the highlights of our week. So consider this to be round 2. Dildoniks are super tight with those 1992 Toronto Blue Jays, you know Kelly Gruber, Devon White etc. Dildoniks have one of the best live shows in the city. If you like largely instrumental rock and surf jams then the last 3 hours of this night is an absolute beast for you! Where: Rancho Relaxo (300 College) When: Thurs March 21st. How Much: $10 or free with CMW wristband or pass Doors at 7:30 music at 8. Extended last call to 4 am!
