What is Yoga? Many of us have recognized that yoga is a practice that has many positive effects on our mental health and on our overall quality of lives. On Saturday April 6th, join Yoga Unite in raising awareness to the importance of teaching yoga and meditation skills to youth in our GTA community, especially youth in need of support, compassion and empowerment. We will be raising funds for New Leaf Yoga Foundation, an amazing organization that teaches yoga and meditation skills to youth in need of support and empowerment. The Yoga Unite event will be an afternoon of bliss: starting with a concert with Darren Austin Hall, followed by massages and healing, and a visionary yoga class taught by Ashley Holly, Chantal Wade, Duncan Parviainen, Ella Isakov and Jordana Halpert. A little about us: Yoga Unite is a not-for-profit organization that aims to raise awareness to the issues that affect our GTA community, and aims to raise funds for local organizations that address these issues. We are founded on the principles of Karma Yoga, selfless service and selfless action. We strongly believe in building a stronger community, one breath at a time. Our event programming for 2013 is focusing on Youth in the GTA. Such an important issue to raise awareness to, as our youth are the future of our community. Please register today for this event at www.yogaunite.ca. The entrance fee is $25 when you register online, and $30 at the door. Looking forward to seeing you on the mat!
