Veteran comedian Al Lubel, best known for his five appearances on the Late Show With David Letterman, headlines The Garrett Morris Downtown Blues and Comedy Club. Known for his self-deprecating comedy, Lubel took an unusual path to stand-up success: he moved to Los Angeles to become a lawyer. He soon gave up law to pursue comedy full-time, headlining clubs across the country. He’s been a $100,000 Grand Prize winner on Star Search, and was one of the last comics to appear on Johnny Carson’s The Tonight Show.
