For every drink sold $1 will be donated to Room to Read, and each dollar puts a book into a library in a developing country in Asia or Africa. Room to Read envisions a world in which all children can pursue a quality education, reach their full potential and contribute to their community and the world. To achieve this goal, we focus on two areas where we believe we can have the greatest impact: literacy and gender equality in education. We work in collaboration with communities and local governments across Asia and Africa to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the life skills theyll need to succeed in school and beyond. Over seven million children have benefitted from Room to Reads programs over the past ten years. Since our inception, we’ve distributed more than 12 million books, built more than 15,000 libraries, more than 1,600 schools, and kept over 20,000 girls in school through our Girls’ Education program.
