Highways Performance Space and Gallery (Santa Monica, CA)
Highways Performance Space presents 4 Headed Dance IV, a showcase of new works by four local choreographers: Bradley Michaud, Anna B. Scott, Waewdao Sirisook and show curator/co-producer Keith Glassman. For the fourth incarnation of this dance series, the pieces will explore off-center, high velocity movement and abandon, the African diaspora, the Thai experience in contemporary performance and down-home centenarians. Glassman’s Portrait of a Three Hundred Year Old Woman will be accompanied by L.A. poet Pat Payne’s “How To Find Darkness in the New World” and live saxophone by Charles Sharp. Check out experimental works by cutting-edge choreographers that think — and move — outside the box.
