Create your own beautiful bracelet or bookmark using a method used by millions traditions across the world! Peyote stitch has been a creative art used by Mexican, Native American, African, & a variety of other cultures for hundreds of years. This two hour workshop will start with a short introduction concerning the history & beauty of peyote stitch. It will be followed by a hands-on workshop in which students will choose two colors to make a peyote stitch bracelet or bookmark. All students will be able to leave with a small piece of work that reminds them of the stitch\\\\\\\’s rich history. Materials needed include: two colors of size 11 seed beads, size B nymo thread, size 10 needle, scissors, & beeswax. You can either contact me for places to obtain these materials or pay $13 to cover cost of materials at the class. Please message me if you plan to use the materials I provide so I bring enough for everyone.
