Be spirited away to a land of enchantment with South Bay Ballet’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the latest installment of their yearly Storybook Ballet series. Graceful choreography, superbly executed by the Ballet’s corps of rising talent, adds a new layer of romance to William Shakespeare’s famous comedy. Enter a world of magic and mischief in this adaptation of Shakespeare’s whimsical story of love, fairies and mix-ups. Young audience members eager to learn an excerpt from A Midsummer Night’s Dream can participate in dance workshops immediately following each matinee performance. Led by instructors from the Lauridsen Ballet Centre, these workshops offer insight into the creative world of the South Bay Ballet.
