This lecture is all about how to prepare to exhibit and show photographic artwork and what you need to consider when working to get your art recognized. A wide range of topics such as dynamics, obstacles and work flow processes when printing artwork will be covered. This is a three-hour lecture on Monday April 15th (6-9 pm) at Arta Gallery in the Distillery District. The cost for this lecture is $15 rsvp $20 at door. Please RSVP with Kamelia at Arta Gallery info@artagallery.ca From initial selection of image capture through the various workflow procedures to end up with a finished print; Bob will discuss the different steps that are required (selection of process and methods of editing work using both PS and in the darkroom) and the consequences of each route. ** different print process will be shown as we go through the methods** Following this Bob will discuss different options for displaying ones work from simple mounts to complex framing options. Samples of each option discussed will be available to look at. Ideas on how one can save money, headaches and aggravation on framing and display at the beginning of their career will be discussed in detail. Building a portfolio, approaching Gallerys and venues, creating a concise exhibition as well as crating and shipping work for transportation will also be addressed. A question and answer session will follow after you have a chance to see the prints up close and framing options.
