T.U. Studios (North Hollywood, CA)
Set in 1960s San Francisco, this romantic comedy by legendary playwright Bill Manhoff tells the story of Felix, an uptight author who stumbles into a relationship with Doris, a freewheeling call girl and aspiring actress. Felix introduces Doris to the delights of the intellect, while Doris offers something sorely missing from Felix’s life: female companionship. The play first premiered on Broadway with Alan Alda in 1964, and spawned the film of the same name starring Barbra Streisand and George Segal. Directed by Gloria Gifford, this timeless love story proves that even the most polar opposite of people can overcome their differences and find love.
