MISS ELIZABETH EP Release May 18th at Encore Studios SEXY MERLIN, OMHOUSE, HOW SAD, VALERIE DOUR “Hazy, anthemic synthed out pop” – My Old Kentucky Blog “Miss Elizabeth has a charming instability to their music that sets them apart from the heady maximalism of something like M83’s Midnight City while still containing a whole host of the same ideas and sounds, just inventively repurposed.” – Pigeons and Planes “Absurdly catchy electronic pop.” – Knox Road Miss Elizabeth are releasing their Debut EP May 18th at Encore studios. They will be joined by Omhouse, Steven Foster of Doldrums solo project, Sexy Merlin, the drummer in Moon King and one of Pleasance Record’s favorite sons, How Sad, a top drawer Montreal synth pop group, and Toronto’s budding EBM starlet Valerie Dour. Named for the long time paramour of 80s and 90s professional wrestling staple Macho Man Randy Savage, Miss Elizabeth are a synth pop duo from Toronto comprised of Tom Avis (farragoes) and Odie Oudekirk (Powers, The Ghost Is Dancing). They make reverb-heavy, shoe gaze influenced synth pop similar to M83 and Cocteau Twins, and have been featured on Pigeons & Planes, My Old Kentucky Blog and Silent Shout, among other places. The show and the EP are both PWYC and the show will begin at 10pm on May 18th at Encore Studios, 76a Geary Ave. Toronto, Ontario M6H 2B5 Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/561564720560544/ Miss Elizabeth: http://www.misselizabethmusic.com/ Omhouse: http://omhouse.bandcamp.com/ Sexy Merlin: http://sexymerlin.bandcamp.com/ How Sad: http://howsad.bandcamp.com/ Valerie Dour: https://www.facebook.com/ValerieDour
