Aero Theatre (Santa Monica, CA)

Screenwriter Larry Karaszewski (Ed Wood, The People vs. Larry Flynt) hosts this American Cinematheque screening featuring a pair of actress Sally Kellerman’s best comedy roles, including her Oscar-nominated turn in MASH as Hot Lips Houlihan. Also in 35mm on the Aero’s big screen is the ’80s comedy Back to School, which finds Kellerman playing a distinguished literature professor opposite student Rodney Dangerfield. Karaszewski is set to moderate a discussion with the actress between films, and she’ll also be signing her new book Read My Lips: Stories of a Hollywood Life in the lobby prior to the screening.
