Hear seven sacred masterworks and two morality madrigals, as well as the full dynamic range of choral music, as Los Angeles Chamber Singers concludes its Spring Festival 2013 with Kaleidoscope: Psalms, Hymns & Canticles of the 16th and 17th Centuries. All of these thrilling works — from the darker burnished tones of Le Jeune and Rossi to the high-voiced brilliance of Sheppard and more — will be performed by the LACS septet with its rare combination of seven voices. Also featuring enduring pieces by Lassus, John Tomkins, Tallis, Palestrina and Thomas Morley, Kaleidoscope represents the rare opportunity to hear timeless choral works performed by an elite ensemble.
