Hear the work of one of the most important musical figures of the 20th century — English composer, conductor and pianist Benjamin Britten — as Salastina Music Society presents Illuminating Britten’s Centennial at Thayer Hall at the Colburn School. The concert’s highlight will see young New York-based soprano Adrienne Pardee take center stage to perform Britten’s Les Illuminations for high voice and strings. The program also features works by composers Britten admired, including Copland, Shostakovich and Frank Bridge. An outdoor reception will follow the concert.
