Set in the world of bullfighting, this romantic comedy follows animal-rights activist Sonja after she gets involved in the battle to pass a bill making the sport illegal. When a big fight organizer catches wind of her association, he sends his son to deal with her. A box office hit in Croatia, Sonja and the Bull is the work of first time director Vlatka Vorkapić and looks at how opposites attract. This special L.A. premiere features a post-show discussion with Vorkapić as well as a reception with live music. There will also be an exhibit of posters from European film festivals held in Los Angeles on display at the Egyptian Theatre. In Croatian with English subtitles.
