ASTRAL GUNK (http://astralgunk.bandcamp.com/) Sackville, junk rock spazz groove lords make the trip west to rock. Herky jerk hilarity infused riffage spirals out of control over bouncy punk bass lines. Vocals shout frantically amidst some flailing guitar notes long broken apart from their tightly grooved past. Fast songs, no bullshit. CONNOISSEURS OF PORN (http://theconnoisseursofporn.bandcamp.com) Toronto up & coming (cuming?) noise-punk band sounds much like a buzz saw hitting a tire iron over & over & over again until neither of them really resemble much more than some heap of whirling metal. Raw vocals shout & yell over this chaotic angular guitar distortion graveyard. At times moving slowly, droning on, with the rhythm section prods forward with bizarre rigor and exaction. Slamming repetition, hints of bastard funk and noodle-y guitar interplay get discarded for balls to the wall thrash punk. Back after a hiatus from the live arena, sure to slay! NEW HORIZZZONS Toronto trifecta featuring Robert Dayton (Wet Dirt), “Classy” Craig Daniels (The Leather Uppers) and Michael Comeau (LSdoubleDcup) unleash the fury for the first time. Garage rock groovers fronted by snarling vocals, charismatic, repulsive, intriguing. Distorted guitar chords crackle as they churn out some raw riffage.
