Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (Los Angeles, CA)

American Ballet Theatre, one of the world’s great ballet companies, visits the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Since 1940, American Ballet Theatre has performed in the greatest venues around the world, creating a tradition of passion, innovation and athleticism that consistently awes ballet lovers old and new. On their 16th engagement at The Music Center, ABT will open with a night of mixed repertoire, featuring three pieces that show off amazing roster of talent in the company. After that, they will perform Le Corsaire, the classic Russian tale first performed in 1856 and re-imagined by ABT 130 years later. The rip-roaring tale, full of pirates, slave girls and swashbuckling action, is staged by Anna-Marie Holmes after choreography by Marius Petipa and Konstantin Sergeyev, and features all new set and costume design.
