Steel Panther’s hilarious, yet dead on, portrayal of a hair metal band from the ’80s made them stars on the Sunset Strip and beyond in the ’90s and ’00s. Previously performing under the names Metal Shop, Metal Skool and (in a national Discover Card commercial) Danger Kitty, their combination of outlandish antics and legitimate chops have made them a top draw around the world. And they’re hotter than ever, now that releases like ’09’s Feel the Steel and ’11’s Balls Out were major successes on both the U.S. rock and comedy album charts. Lead singer Michael Starr, drummer Stix Zadinia, bassist Lexxi Foxxx and guitarist Satchel just came off their nationwide Spreading the Disease tour and are hard at work in the studio on their next disc. There will be an opening act, and tickets also include admission to the sure-to-be-rocking afterparty.
