The Word On The Street is a free festival that celebrates the Canadian written word and champions literacy through an annual outdoor book and magazine fair. Each year, we showcase Canada’s hottest new books and authors, as well as the best Canadian magazines! Last year, we had 215,000 visitors come to enjoy the 210 authors and presenters appearing at the festival, and to shop in our Exhibitor Marketplace featuring 275 book and magazine exhibitors — it’s the world’s largest outdoor bookstore!
