Awareness Film Festival: A Conscious Cinema Celebration

Billed as a conscious cinema celebration, the fourth annual Awareness Film Festival showcases over 30 features and 45 shorts from 17 countries, which explore world issues, from green and eco-friendly living to gang/felon reform. Many of the screenings include a filmmaker Q&A, and proceeds from the festival benefit Heal One World, a nonprofit organization that educates under-served communities about and provides them access to preventative health care and alternative treatments. The four-day festival is a zero waste event, and new this year, Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment is offering a first look distribution opportunity for the grand jury-winning films from this year’s selections.
