WAYFARER – Carina Yu with Jennifer Barrett OPENING NIGHT: August 14th 2013, 7:00pm August 7th-14th 2013 An exhibition featuring the landscape photography by Carina Yu and Jennifer Barrett. I am fascinated by texture and the way touch can influence the reading of an image. I work with processes and techniques that allow me to play with perceptional senses that are easily overlooked; incorporating photography, drawing, fibre arts, printmaking and collage. I am constantly searching out new ways to imprint images onto new surfaces. This desire to record, catalog and sort all things around me is the driving force behind my visual practice; things such as personal history, nostalgia and ephemera. I enjoy working with appropriated and found imagery, with the issues of ownership at the forefront of my mind. – Jennifer Barrett Gallery Hours: Tues-Sun: 12-6pm Mon: Closed
