Community Fundraising Paper Sheading Event with BBQ The Queensway, Etobicoke Local businesses are helping bring awareness to the community for a crisis centre containing a foodbank, clothing closet and host to many other programs in the community. Doing so through a paper shredding event, where individuals can bring documents they need to shred and for $5 a box it will be put through a ShredEx shredder. There will also be a barbeque. John Estrada owner of ShredEX is temporarily putting his business on hold to participate in an event to bring awareness of all the programs offered by Haven on the Queensway to the community. John is hoping to help raise funds for the Haven through his businesses participation in the event. Haven on the Queensway is a not-for-profit that provides services to the less fortunate in the surrounding community and GTA. Its central location and partnerships with local businesses have allowed the Haven to help thousands of people get on their feet and change their lives for the better.
