On September 21 and 22, 2013, The Royal Bank of Canada and Sunnybrook have partnered to create RBC Run for the Kids a unique fundraising event that will support the establishment of the Family Navigation Project, a program to help families affected by youth mental health issues. The RBC Run for the Kids benefits Sunnybrooks leading Youth Psychiatry Program and in particular, the Family Navigation Project (FNP) which will be established with the events support. Unlike other walks and runs, the RBC Run for the Kids takes place over the entire weekend of September 21-22 and includes three different run components On September 21, a 5 km run/walk, and a 15 km Kids Challenge. And on September 22, a 25 km run all around the Sunnybrook neighbourhood.
