Have you seen our new mural at 310 Gerrard Street? Come celebrate a new art piece and message of hope for city! Local artists, the Toronto Muralists, painted the mural, Hope in the City, beautifying the side of the Double Take thrift store. The mural is the result of months of work by Yonge Street Mission staff and the artists. There will be live entertainment, including live music from Kaysun, a local singer and songwriter, and street dance performance. Pam McConnell, City Councillor for Toronto Centre-Rosedale, will be in attendance. During the event, attendees can snack on free popcorn and free ice cream from Bow Tie Ice Cream Truck. Also offered will be local delicacies made by our women and families group, free face painting for children and free henna art.
