Known for his animated stage presence, Bruce Jingles is a regular on stages throughout L.A. and surrounding areas. Jingles credits his comedic style with growing up in suburban Southern California. He says that as the new black kid in a Mexican neighborhood, and always just a few inches taller than everyone else, there was always someone trying to one-up him. And with a last name like Jingles? “C’mon man,” he says. “I had to learn to make folks laugh.” And learn he did. He’s performed alongside such big comedy names as Jeff Garcia, Carlos Mencia, Chris Tucker, Gabriel Iglesias, Damon Wayans, Dave Chappelle and Dane Cook, and his TV credits include two Showtime comedy specials, including Jeff Garcia’s Low Budget Madness. Inland Empire Weekly even named him Comic of the Year for two years in a row, and USO tours have allowed him to perform for American troops around the globe.
