Actor-singer-dancer Joe Orrach wrote and stars in this solo show about his coming of age as a Puerto Rican kid who fights his way from a life on the streets of the Bronx to the Air Force welterweight boxing championship and beyond. With his wide array of talents, he even ends up as one of the biggest stars at San Francisco’s famed Teatro Zinzanni. Mixing boxing, tap dance, beats and music, In My Corner shines with the incandescent showmanship Orrach is known for, backed by a live piano trio featuring Matthew Clark (piano), Ronnie Gutierrez (percussion) and Eugene Warren (bass).
