Award-winning conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya and 21-year-old piano phenom Daniil Trifonov join the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the historic Hollywood Bowl for a concert filled with romantic favorites by Gershwin and Rachmaninoff, as well as the West Coast premiere of Bounce, an L.A. Phil co-commission by beat-oriented UCLA composer Adam Schoenberg. The young Russian Trifonov, a rising superstar who’s won numerous prestigious piano competitions, is set to perform Rachmaninoff’s famed Concerto No. 2, while George Gershwin’s Cuban Overture and Porgy and Bess: Symphonic Picture bookend this exciting evening of music under the stars.
