Did you know that Steven Speilberg’s movie E.T. The Extra Terrestrial is Universal Pictures’ top grossing movie of all time? That many fans can’t be wrong! Come and see it on the big screen. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll eat popcorn, and all for a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits for any Socially Conscious Geeks event always go to a local charity. And the charity we’ve chosen for this event is Variety Village. Variety Village is a fitness, recreational and life skills centre for children and adults with disabilities. For over 60 years their goal has been to improve the quality of life of all people, regardless of their abilities. By offering specialized programs and services, they create a level playing field without barriers, intimidation or other obstacles. Dedicated to people of all abilities, Variety Village is a great place to get fit and have fun. Find out more at: http://www.varietyvillage.ca/ For your donation of $10 or more to Variety Village, we’ll be offering you a free ticket to see E.T. on the big screen! Your donations will go toward paying the cost of renting the theatre. After that, 100% of the profits will go directly to Variety Village. Donations: $10 minimum per person For those of you unable to attend, there is a spot on the EventBrite page where you can make a donation. Disclaimer 1: The total sum of money raised shall be considered a group donation; absolutely no tax receipts shall be issued to anyone.
