Starting with a treat all the way from Halifax in the form of Steady Hills! These guys have played Ranch a few times now and make great indie-rock with hints of folk music and are just all around solid dudes. Self described as Dan Mangan and the Decermberists meets the Black Keys just imagine if they are half of that how great of a band this is! Then we have Graeme Lang! You might have caught Graeme’s opening set at one of the nights of TWMFEST and if you did seeing his name here again surely excited you. But for this show Graeme will have his full band backing him. The same band he’s been hard at work with on their new album. Then we have Bonwit Teller who have been hard at work on new material and staying away from live gigs over the last few months since the festival season died down. Self described as “a dash of shoegazer, a pinch of the Watchmen and a wall of vocals.” We all are eager to hear what they’ve been up to! Lastly but surely not least we have Finnegan’s Wake! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Carolina Pinzon through the guys in Champion Lover and Another City but had no idea her band was going to be such a pleasant surprise when they played. Particularly towards the end of their set when they dabbled in some unexpected experimental genres. I predict they are going to destroy!
