Do you like Video Games, Prizes, and Booze ? Then on October 4th you are welcome to be part of the Ultra Edition Launch party of AFK. We have prizes, Video Game Tournaments, Video Game inspired Drinks, regular drinks and other crazy things going on! What is AFK? It’s a pilot we are filming about five dysfunctional gamers, the team they play on, and the house they live in. In order to spread awareness we are drinking, partying, and celebrating a community driven show with the gaming community, friends, and anyone else that wants to join us! The low down were hosting a video game tournament at the El Mocambo throughout the evening, we will partake of the ale and battle for honour and glory in, Street Fighter! Halo (16 player), COD (16 Player), and will kick it old school with Mario Kart 64. The tournaments will run multiple times, registration is limited and each tournament winner will win awesome prizes. Stop talking trash online and put your money where your mouth is. Did we mention that we will be projecting the tournament so fellow onlookers can both cheer and laugh at you! Still not convinced, BAM! Did we mention we are going to have Chipset DJ’s providing some awesome beats, and the super awesome crew of the show will be in attendance hosting this fine shin-dig? Holy Bowzers we are so fancy, we even have limited edition ticket’s available, due to attendance capacity we encourage everyone to buy tickets in advance not only will you save some money and guarantee entrance, you will also be entered into our Super Duper door raffle extravaganza. The first of great news to announce is Jefftheworld a Toronto chip tune DJ will be spinning at our super awesome party. Heavy basslines, frantic rhythms and airy leads. With an arsenal of antiquated hardware and software – Game Boy, Atari computers, Dos software – coupled with cutting edge and homebrew technology – Kaoss Pads, circuit – bent keyboards, Guitar Hero controllers – Jeffheworld pumps out some seriously fun music An avid gamer, programmer, hacker and DIY fanatic, Jeff jefftheworld Alyanak grew up as the sone of a music studio owning father and a singer/songwriter mother, so its no surprise that he put all of those elements together and began using his old game boys and Nintendos to make crazy chip music.
