On Friday, October 11, 2013, the Museum of Inuit Art will be hosting a rare opportunity for visitors to view a screening of Tunniit: Retracing the Lines of Inuit Tattoos, a documentary on Inuit traditional face tattooing. Following the screening, Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, the film’s director, will speak about the film and her work as well answer questions from the audience moderated by Alysa Procida (MIA’s Curator). This documentary is not yet available on DVD and has limited distribution, so this event presents a rare opportunity to see the film and hear from the director herself.
