Id like to present a mess of tangled bodies, and memories and faces in a collection of paintings named, WAKE. This work embodies how intimacy and reality are warped by time, memories, and dreams; how the most vivid encounters and experiences fade and are subconsciously woven into other memories like a tapestry of what wasnt really, but might have been. I try to remember, try to forget, what remains is what I wanted to paint. Like vivid sensations of something no longer a reality, this body of work is the manifestation of my personal phantom limbs.
