A monthly pop-up bar hosted by SAVAC (South Asian Visual Arts Centre) & FUSE Magazine, featuring food, drinks and art. Join us, on what would otherwise be the most tepid day of the week. Featuring short eats by Indian-fusion snack guru, Chef Le Tigre. Part of the 401 Richmond building’s, “Last Wednesdays”, a monthly event in which a selection of galleries and shops is open after-hours. EAT Handmade samosas with plum chutney, chipotle aioli & a herbed paneer truffle – $3 DRINK Beer/Wine/Cider – $4 or 2 for $7 Signature Handcrafted Cocktail – $6 “The Careerist” Cucumber and Jalapeno-infused gin, topped with soda and garnished with basil. Non-alcoholic Cocktail – $3 “The Rationalist” Spiced-cherry soda. ART Transmissions from “The Subcontinent Newsroom”, featuring live screenprinting (bring your own fabric or paper products!) Artifacts from the project “INFO-BOMB: The Subcontinent Newsroom”(www.savac.net/info-bomb.html), will be brought to the 401 lobby, including video works, and 3 limited edition newspapers from the project. There will also be a screen printing station, where you can have a graphic of artist Tazeen Qayyum’s, “Do Not Know Who We Are Where We Go” printed on a fabric or paper item of your choice! T-shirts and poster paper will be available for purchase.
