Liss Gallery Presents:Harry Benson Celebrate the Beatles 50th Anniversary On Saturday November 16th, From-1:00-3:00pm & 6:00-9:00pm Please join us in celebrating the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Beatles arrival in America heralding the British Rock and Roll invasion. Mr. Benson has recently named a Commander of the Order of The Empire by Queen Elizabeth II. He has works in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery in Washington and has recently been honored with a permanent one-man photography exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh. As a photographer for Life Magazine from 1968 -2000 he was at Robert F Kennedy’s side when he was assassinated. He was able to photograph this shocking event while maintaining his composure. Mr. Benson is still actively working for publications like Vanity Fair and Vice. He was present at the George V hotel in Paris in 1964 with the Beatles when Ed Sullivan invited them onto his show and was the only photographer invited into the plane for their triumphant first trip to the USA.
