The Ugly Sweater Run Rummage up the ugliest sweater in your closet and join runners and walkers in Toronto’s first annual Ugly Sweater 5km Run at Downsview Park. This will be a little more fun than your average workout, with holiday-themed check points at every mile. Recharge with hot chocolate, or the two free beers provided at the end of the race. Hopefully the moustache you’ve been working on will be award winning by November 16th, as there are prizes for the best moustaches, plus the best and worst sweater. WELCOME TO The Ugly Sweater Run TORONTO! This is the OG. The Original. The Ugly Sweater Run is hitting Downsview Park at 11am! A portion of your race registration fee goes towards The Ugly Christmas Sweater Day Fundraising Campaign in support of The Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada. Feel good about your contribution to granting the wishes of children living with life-threatening illnesses. HOW DOES IT WORK? Rummage up the Ugliest Sweaters you can find and celebrate the Holidays by participating in the best 5k of the year. Join thousands of runners and walkers from around North America at a local Ugly Sweater Run near you. If youve never run a 5k before, this is a great way to burn some calories before receiving hot chocolate and two beers. All you have to do is register online to join in the fun. All kids 8 and under are free, so dont worry about registering them online! The run is approximately 3.1 miles long on city streets and through parks depending on the city. The start line will have huge inflatables, photo stations, and awesome holiday music. Once youre on the course, youll find holiday themed stations at every mile. You can ditch that Gatorade because youll be able to replenish those electrolytes at the good ol fashioned hot chocolate station on the course. After youve completed your run, join us at the post run festivities. This holiday 5k has everything your five-year old self would want with a few perks of adulthood. So after the race, take a much-deserved break from the shopping frenzy and celebrate your run with beer and other holiday goodies. Awards for best real mustache, best fake mustache, best beard, worst sweater, best sweater will follow the race. RACE RULES Ummmwe recommend wearing an Ugly Sweater, grow a mustache if you can (if not, well give you one) and show up ready to party with your friends at the coolest run in the country. You must bring two pieces of valid ID and be 19+ to consume adult beverages.
