Tickets are available now for the November edition of the Toronto Underground Market happening Saturday, November 16th at 5pm at the Evergreen Brick Works (550 Bayview Avenue). In addition to new and returning vendors, this TUM will also feature select food trucks. Already confirmed are Crossroads Diner and Fidel Gastro. TUM is Canadas first and only social food market designed to give budding food entrepreneurs, chefs and home cooks a platform to test new food ideas to an eager market. Since September 2011, each TUM event has featured new cooks and chefs wanting to exhibit their food plus various local craft beer, wine and cocktails. TUM started as an idea inspired by the SF Underground Market and grew into a reality thanks to the devoted group of volunteers that make up the committee. This group is made up of young professionals with successful careers in PR, Media Relations, Event Production, Marketing and Business Development. This committee applied their trade to a passion project and turned it into a business. When TUM grows up it hopes to be an established incubator with its own commercial kitchen and educational space for food entrepreneurs.
