Members of the public are invited to the launch of an exhibition featuring photographs and oral histories from Harbord Village residents who remember aspects of daily life in the neighborhood prior to 1975 through themes of foodscapes, laneways and porch life. The exhibition showcases the urban life of Harbord Village inspired by the memories and experiences of the residents, capturing the diversity of the Harbord Village community through a glimpse at the spaces where the residents played, worked, learned, laughed, talked and cooked. The Harbord Village Residents Association and six students in the Master of Museum Studies program at the Faculty of Information, University of Toronto, explore community memory through interviews with more than 100 long-time Harbord Village residents.
