Rae Spoon, Sheila Sampath and more confirmed to appear at Letters Lived Book Launch Party celebrating powerful new collection for youth! On November 26, Three OClock Press is marking the release of Letters Lived: Radical reflections, revolutionary paths with an awesome, interactive celebration for all ages! Letters Lived is a brand new collection of letters written by a diverse group of international and cross-generational social justice activists to their teen selves. In these letters, they reflect on the incredible journeys they have taken since their teensand what they wish they could have known back then. Letters Lived goes beyond acne and homework, speaking to challenges that youth from all backgrounds face: learning to trust and love ourselves; navigating our bodies, families, identities and communities; combating social injustice; reconciling racial and cultural backgrounds, sexualities and genders; and building strong communities The Launch Party will include: Contributors sharing the letters they have written to their teen selves! Youth sharing letters they have written to their adult selves in a workshop earlier the same day with Editor Sheila Sampath! And some special performances announced closer to the launch date! Accessibility info: -The CSI Annex space is accessible for mobility devices. -All of the restrooms are gender-neutral, single stall washrooms, including the mobility-device accessible washroom. -Though CSI Annex does not have a fragrance-free policy in place during their normal hours of operation, we ask that all of our guests come to this event scent-free.
