Experience the charm and pageantry of the classic Russian Nutcracker as Tchaikovsky’s ethereal melodies take the audience to the land of snow and sweets. Young talented dancers from all over Toronto and adjacent vicinity will be joined by Principal Dancers Kathleen Breen Combes and Jeffrey Cirio from Boston Ballet. Toronto International Ballet Theatre’s Nutcracker is based on the Russian Classical version performed by the worlds top ballet companies: The Bolshoi Ballet and Kirov Ballet. The aerial and spirited dancing is supported by enchanting tapestry with custom made costumes and set designs adorning the stage. Artistic Director Tatiana Stepanova (Prima Ballerina, People’s Artist of Ukraine) has retained the ballet’s traditional beauty with her innovative vision and polished choreography.
