Legendary Toronto shock-rock, Progressive-Tex-Mex, triple-guitar armada, White Cowbell Oklahoma have just completed TWO European tours and have returned to headlining the 10th Annual installment of their Annual X-MESS celebrations on Friday December 13th at Lee’s Palace in Toronto. Opening are Toronto blues-boogie duo CATL (returned from the the grave in a new lineup), along with another upcoming buzz band, ’79-style metal trio Mokomokai. This will be among the first Canadian WCO dates in months. WCO’s X-Mess shows have become infamous in Toronto live music lore for much more than musical excellence — packed with a myriad of guest starts, dancers, stage invaders, lurid theatricality, power tool destruction and general over-the-top audience assault, the X-Mess transcends the rock n roll limits that even WCO normally put on themselves onstage. White Cowbell Oklahoma are a famously great interview and would LOVE to talk to you. White Cowbell Oklahoma have just released an unprecedented, deluxe, double-coloured, heavy-duty, double-vinyl Euro-Import version of their internationally critically-acclaimed BUENAS NACHAS album. The album contains a whole side of previously-unreleased music, including two swamp-rock-meets-krautrock-epics from the Buenas Nachas sessions. There are also two tracks similarly omitted from WCO’s previous Viva Live Locos album (recorded live at Germany’s enourmous Burg Herzberg hippie festival gathering).
