Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra’s westside connections 2

Ann and Jerry Moss Theater (Santa Monica, CA)

Culture Clash satirist-performer Richard Montoya joins LACO for the latest in its westside connections chamber-music series, which explores, in its signature conversational style, how living and working in L.A. influences creative output. This edition spotlights the work of famed Mexican composers Silvestre Revueltas and Carlos Chávez, the founder of the Mexican Symphonic Orchestra, who delved into both native folk music and the more modern abstract. LACO is set to perform his Sonatina for Violin and Piano from 1924, as well as his 1940 Trio for harp, flute and viola.
