Singer-pianist Carol Welsman hits the stage with Grammy-winning musician and maestro Mat Catingub and his acclaimed Glendale Pops orchestra for a swinging evening jam-packed with jazz, Latin, R&B and pop favorites. The honey-and-whisky-voiced Welsman is a well-known Canadian jazz artist, whose nine album releases include I Like Men: Reflections of Miss Peggy Lee and her latest, 2012’s Journey, with her interpretations of tunes like “Route 66,” “On the Road Again” and “Fly Me to the Moon.” She’s also known for her live tributes to the great female vocalists of the ’40s, including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday and more.
