Our society loves things that are big — big houses, big cars, big celebrities. Because bigger is better, right? The Los Angeles Master Chorale takes things in the other direction, showing the beauty that can exist when music is stripped down and concentrated on the elements of what makes it unique and special. Minimalist Masterworks is the second installment of the ensemble’s popular Minimalist Jukebox Festival curated by John Adams. The program will include works by Pérotin, David Lang and Steve Reich.
