Grammy-winning American cellist Lynn Harrell finds Triumph & Drama with Maestro Enrique Arturo Diemecke and the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra, at this concert featuring operatic works from Verdi and Wagner. Harrell solos on Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 2, framed by the “Triumphal March and Ballet” from Verdi’s Aida and various selections from Wagner. Since his debut at the age of 16 at Carnegie Hall with the New York Philharmonic, Harrell’s performed on the world’s great stages, won multiple awards, appeared on dozens of recordings and taught at the most prestigious music schools.
