"Beethoven and Misfortune Cookies"

Ernest Harden, Jr. (White Men Can’t Jump, The Jeffersons) stars in this one-man drama inspired by the true story of Kabin Thomas, a passionate music professor at the University of Arkansas who was fired for cursing in the classroom. Thomas’ creative teaching techniques, meant to engage today’s short-attention-span students, made him one of the college’s most popular teachers. But he was unexpectedly and unceremoniously fired for his use of profanity during a lesson on Billie Holiday and the titular composer. Award-winning playwright Joni Ravenna’s script follows his journey as he struggles to come to terms with his past while looking for a way forward.
