Elephant Stages’ Lillian Theatre (Hollywood, CA)

"Unorganized Crime"

Oscar nominee Chazz Palminteri is a modern-day James Cagney, the tough guy with a sensitive soul. Now the star of Bullets Over Broadway, The Usual Suspects and A Bronx Tale returns to his roots in the Los Angeles theater scene, where he was first discovered by Robert De Niro. And just like De Niro first supported him decades ago, he is now championing (and starring in) the work of a brilliant, if unknown playwright: Unorganized Crime by Kenny D’Aquila. In this gripping and savage story, Gino Sicuso, a forgotten brother and son, is banished to Detroit by his father. What transpires between two brothers and the love of a women is sometimes comedic, sometimes tragic, but always unforgettable. D’Aquila and Jamie Sorrentini co-star with Palminteri in this production directed by David Fofi.
