Melancholy Comedy About Life After Loss
NoHo Arts Center (North Hollywood, CA)

The dramedy Be a Good Little Widow makes its L.A. debut starring Larisa Olyenik (Pretty Little Liars, 10 Things I Hate About You) and Caroline Aaron (Edward Scissorhands, 2012’s 21 Jump Street). A newlywed who’s just lost her husband in a plane crash, Melody’s unaccustomed to dealing with death — she’s never even been to a funeral — and lacking friends or a job, she’s adrift in a sea of grief and loneliness. But she’s thrown a lifeline by her mother-in-law Hope, who quickly becomes her mentor-in-widowhood. 49th Parallel Theatre stages Bekah Brunstetter’s melancholy comedy about love and loss.
