Michael Feinstein Sings Gershwin

Though he recently added the title of conductor to his resume, legendary entertainer Michael Feinstein puts aside the baton for this outdoor show and simply sings the music of George and Ira Gershwin, including such enduring standards as “”S Wonderful,” “I Got Rhythm,” “Embraceable You,” “Someone to Watch Over Me” and many more, along with a few surprises and a tribute to Fred Astaire, while Larry Blank conducts the Pasadena POPS. When singer-pianist Feinstein was just 20 years old, he became lyricist Ira Gershwin’s personal archivist, friend and protégé. Those six years changed the course of his life, and Feinstein went on to become one of the most popular performers and foremost interpreters of the Gershwins’ amazing music catalog.
