Jessica Lang Dance

Hailed as “a master of visual composition” by Dance Magazine, emerging choreographer Jessica Lang transforms classical ballet into artfully crafted contemporary works. Lang incorporates music, opera and art pieces into her choreography along with remarkable sets and costumes to create dances that are a feast for the eye. Among the six pieces being staged as part of this repertory performance are Lines Cubed, inspired by the works of artist Piet Mondrian, White, a short film that uses special effects to play with speed, and The Calling, featuring a solo dancer in a 20-foot-long white skirt that pools around her feet.
